It is that time of the year where a lot of people have the ghosts/goblins/frankensteins etc dangling from the porch, trees etc. Miss Pot has been curious yet a little cautious about these decorations. At one Navarathri visit she got a potlum with a pen that popped out the head of one of these creatures. Since it pops out everytime she writes she found it hilarious. So she named it "silly face uncle"
Sure enough thatha paati's neighbor have this humagous blowout of the same faced creature that lights up at night. She is a little nervous about this enormous thing but thankfully i was able to point out to the "silly face uncle" and she calmed down. She is still not crazy about it but at least she does not freak out.
As we drive through our neighborhood a lot of people have skeletons etc hanging and I was worried about how I am going to explain this to her. We were driving out the other day and she caught a few of these skeletons and said "Amma inga innum silly face uncle irruka, pumpkin irruku" *phew* problem solved. Thanks Pot.. you are right all these are just different "silly face uncle" bommais! :)
