it's in the blood

Ok so V likes to try his 'kadi' jokes (PJs) with us all the time... well the gene has passed on.

This afternoon I told MissPot "Your hands are messy with butter so if you want to eat this bread you have to sit here on the couch - wait na onna ETHI udaren (wait I will lift you up)." Now the word ETHI is also used for "lighting" a lamp.

So she immediately says - "Amma I am not a candle" and before I could even think of where she was heading with this "You cannot "ETHIFY" me" with a grin and the naughtiness in her eyes.

It took me 2 seconds to realize how she had used the same word in two different contexts... good one!
