Yes we love to read books .. they save the day when MissPot is sick, when the weather is yucky or we are all just grumpy. Books have been our savior..
However MissPot is obsessed with making books. Last year she made these books that she saw the older ( 2nd and 3rd year) kids make. She would come home scribble on a few sheets and then we would fold them and I would staple them for her. She would walk around the house with her book and read from it .. and each time there was a whole new story. Starting this school year she has been bringing a lot more of real books she has made at school. Last year she did the parts of the flower and stuff like that and this year she continued..
Now with the full day session she is loving the fact that she is able to trace, color and write the words and have them ready for being made into a book within 2 days... WOW .. that is a lot of hardwork..
I love seeing the beaming face when I go to pick her up on Friday and she proudly announces the books she as made and we enjoy flipping through it and see the fruits of her hard work..
