Not that it has much to do with Pot directly but it always has bugged me to see how a lot of desi men feel so awkward when they see a child. Miss Pot likes to interact with people and yes she is automatically more comfortable with the "brown" people. This makes it even more difficult for me to explain to her on why that "uncle" is being such a grumpoose! Especially when you see them in a regular public setting where you have americans and desis most american guys will at least look at the baby and smile with a "hey there" and walk away ..but the desi guys just avoid all eye contact with the fear of having to acknowledge your presence... yes as you can see I get really annoyed by this behavior.
Today - we were at a store and a desi guy walked in the same time as us. MIss Pot was particularly chatty and having a good time with people. He kept watching her and then stopped by and started a conversation with her. She was so pleased and promptly responded to him and at the end he walked away and smiled at me saying "she is such a sweet child". Finally for once I saw a desi guy talk to a little girl randomly without being awkward.. how refreshing!

wow, was he cute? was he married? if yes and no, you should have gotten his number, in case Amma gets any unmarried young women students :) :)
